President
Vishwas Mahajan, is best known as the co-founder & ex-CEO of Compulink Systems Ltd,
a early software product company and President of Pune Chapter of TiE.

Vishwas’s last degree was MBA from SIBM,( Symbiosis Institute of Business
Management, one of India’s leading business schools). He has recently been awarded
‘Distinguished Alumni’ of his alma mater.

Prior to founding Compulink, he has been associated with various organizations including
PSI Data systems, Hinditron, Digital Equipments (India) Limited and Key Information
Technology (Dubai) in multiple leadership roles and functions, where getting teams to
perform to a goal has been his key deliverable.

He co-founded Compulink with his friend 12 years ago and it is one of the few companies
from India that is focused on products. He has led Compulink from bootstrap phase to VC
investment to taking it public. Its flagship product, the Whizible suite (of projects, initiatives
and people performance software), clocked revenue of 100+ Crores in the ten years of its
existence, becoming of the very few Indian software product companies to do so then. He
believes that entrepreneur is a key facilitator who rallies available people and resources to
deliver performance.

He then led merger of Compulink with another company –Glodyne and this means that his
entrepreneurial journey has run one full circle.

For Glodyne he led its acquisition of $200 million US company and has completed
integration project. Consummating any M&A transaction to generate benefits envisaged
needs managing change, aligning diverse people and strong project management.

His interest in leadership has led him to undertake training and research in this and he is
recently certified as ‘Level 1 Global Facilitator’ for ‘9 Conversations in Leadership’ – a
program in leadership development by ‘Worldsview Consulting’ – South Africa. He has
facilitated for his company that did four acquisitions in two years, an exercise to bring
together senior leadership, an exercise that needed considerable skills.


Active with local and global industry bodies and associations, Vishwas is the Coordinator
for NASSCOM Emerging and Products Forum.

In continuation of his passion for entrepreneurship, he has taken up the role of President
of Pune Chapter of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) – a global not-for-profit organization
that fosters entrepreneurship. As President, he leads a group of highly successful
entrepreneurs to deliver to start-ups and budding entrepreneurs the help they need to get
to their potential.

Vishwas is married to Smita, a Bharat Natyam dancer and teacher and has two
daughters.
